The summer camp staff of Camp Tavor are excited partner with Limmud Michigan to bring the magic of Camp Tavor to the 2017 Limmud MI Conference, taking place from Sunday, March 19 at Wayne State University's Student Center in Detroit, MI.
Camp Limmud is an all-day activity for children in K-8, run by highly responsible, competent and experienced young men and women who were raised within the Habonim-Dror's youth movement. The staff for Camp Limmud are experienced counselors from Camp Tavor's summer sleep-away camp, who will use their background in youth education and camping to provide a day camp experience for children of Limmud MI participants.
The Camp Tavor staff members, many of whom are University of Michigan students, will utilize their vast camping and non-formal educational experience to create a meaningful, interactive, and fun camp program. Children enjoy a "Taste of Tavor" and see what a day at Camp Tavor is like while adults are free to participate in all that Limmud MI has to offer!
School age children from K - 8th grade will participate in the following exciting activities:
There will be plenty of opportunities for children to choose their own activities and form new friendships over the course of Camp Tavor at Limmud MI. Habonim-Dror aims to bring the magic of a Jewish summer camp experience into the diverse and experiential community-building atmosphere of Limmud MI.
